Why do they call it 'pink eye' when it's really a bloodshot red color?

I got pink eye from my aunt and cousin over thanksgiving, and it decided to rear it's ugly head yesterday morning. pah. Great thing, isn't it! haha

Michael called me a demon child today because my eye is so red, and the other eye is now turning the same shade. ugh.

Today, for the first time ever, I was actually ok with being isolated from people. haha. I really don't want to give it to anyone else. I'm quite worried about it. So... when people would see my eye and ask me what happened and I would say "I have pink eye!", I understood it when they then backed away from me, or ran in the opposite direction. haha.

Apparently, pink eye is a lot worse for other people though. Everyone keeps going on about how much it itches and everything... it doesn't really itch for me. I am just feeling a great deal of discomfort, and I usually feel that when I'm wearing my glasses.

And why does everyone else seem to have already had pink eye? I have never had it before... and people are telling me stories of when they had it way back when... hmmm.

Now thinking about it, maybe it's called pink eye because it's supposed to be pink. It's not supposed to be red like this. I wonder if this is really abnormal. I shall do research after I'm done writing.

gah! It feels like I have finger nails pushing against my tear ducts and my cheeks. ODD!!! haha.

Whats going to be real interesting is when I ring the bell at Cabela's again tonight for the salvation army. The cold air really hurts my eye when I walk outside... so spending 2 horus ringing a bell in the freezing cold is going to be just great!!! Oh well... I'm doing it for a great cause, so I can get over it. I feel really good about myself when I'm out there collecting money for people just by ringing a bell.

I saw the movie Chocolat yesterday, and I really really really liked it... heck, even loved it.... even though Johnny Depp wasn't in it like the whole time, but only for a little bit. But it was still a super good movie despite that. I think I would like to own that.

I'm getting close to recording my college auditions for music. I'm going to have another voice lesson, or maybe even 2, and get them squared away. I've been practicing like mad. Both are in Italian, so sometimes it's hard because of the pronounciations... but I think I can get it with a little more help.

well... I had tons more I wanted to say, but my hea dis really starting to hurt because of this computer monitor. ummm... I don't know when the next time I will be able to update will be because I'm getting a new computer, and it's going to take a while to get it all set up. Sooo... yea. Just thought you should know. :)
